Covid-19 Update: Current Entry & Exit Requirements

Roatán is open! No need to worry anymore about not being able to jump on a plane and head to our beautiful tropical island. That being said, there are still a few things you need to do before you can drink from that coconut while floating around in the crystal-clear waters of West Bay Beach.

Entering Honduras

Complete this form no earlier than 48 hours before your arrival time. Before the 48-hour timeframe, you can advance the process by creating an account on the site and getting your username and password. For best results complete the forms on a desktop or laptop rather than a mobile device.

  1. Pre-registration on Honduras virtual platform:

Create a user name and password, enter your information and complete the Precheck Form (Prechequeo), Customs Declaration (Formulario de declaracion jurada de aduana) and the Health Form (Ficha de Vigilancia Epidemiologica de la Salud).

You need to print the precheck and carry it with you to Honduras. You will need your Passport, Flight Information, Address of where you will be staying in Roatan, Your COVID Test Results or Vaccination Card. (attached is a PDF to help with completing the precheck form). If you have any issues with the Immigration Pre-check Form website, use this link instead:

  1. If you are Fully Vaccinated for COVID-19 and travelling at least 14 days after your final shot, you do not need to get tested for COVID-19 to enter Roatán.

  2. If you are not Fully Vaccinated you will need to be tested for COVID-19.

The COVID test can be either PCR or a Rapid test. The test must be done within 72 hours prior to your arrival time in Roatan. You must bring a printed copy, I recommend 3 copies, 1 for Customs in Honduras and some airports/airlines in the USA may keep a copy as well. The COVID test result must be typed out (handwritten will not work), it must include the doctor or clinic name, travellers name, DOB, Date of test, date of the test result and negative as a result. Highlight your name, DOB and the result “Negative”.

Note: You are considered fully vaccinated for COVID-19: 14 days

or more after you have received the second dose in a 2-dose

series (Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, AstraZeneca), or 14 days or

more after you have received a single-dose vaccine (J&J/

Janssen). You must have in hand your Original Vaccination

Card given to you at your vaccination site.

This includes:
1.    Wear face coverings correctly.
2.    Maintain social distancing.
3.    Use hand sanitizing gel as instructed.
4.    If you suffer are suffering from symptoms of disease or illness, avoid travel until you improve.

Now it's time to enjoy your vacation and experience some

amazing diving. Grab your go-pro and some gear and get ready

to see Roatán's beautiful marine diversity and colorful reef.

Here at West Bay Divers, we adhere to the PADI 8 Simple COVID-19 Risk

Reduction Steps for Divers, to keep you and our staff as safe as possible.

Now it's only a few days left before you head back home. To re-enter the USA you will need a negative COVID-19 Test or Documentation of Recovery. This is required for all air passengers, two years of age or older, flying internationally to the United States. Including those who are Fully Vaccinated. You must keep a physical copy of your results and show it to the airline before you board.

UPDATE - Effective December 6, 2021, you must have a COVID-19 viral test (regardless of vaccination status or citizenship) no more than 1 day before you travel by air into the United States.
