Take your diving experience to the next level
At West Bay Divers our Special Trips allow us to explore areas away from Roatán to sites you may have never dived before.
​
We will see different reefs, ocean organisms and have a great day while you’re there. Special trips normally take place with deep-ocean boat rides, which increase your chances of seeing dolphins, pilot whales and if you’re really lucky… maybe even a whale shark!

Our Dive Yacht - "El Guapo"
Our 55ft Dive Yacht 'El Guapo' (meaning 'the handsome' in spanish) is the only Dive Boat on Roatán with on-board hot showers, 25 person sun deck, a private bathroom, kitchen, prep tables, 1500W stereo system, 900 horsepower engines and tinted windows to keep you out of the sun.

This is the ultimate boat for a day cruise, whether you are diving, snorkelling or just along for the ride. We have four popular destinations we can take you to, all you need to do is pick the one you think is right for you!

​All "Special Trips" are weather dependent and require a minimum number of divers.
Choose your special trip:
GUANAJA
Time: 8am - 4pm (approximately)
Cost - $275

Guanaja is a remote island off the East Tip of Roatan with a bright green rainforest, lots of sandy beaches and an amazing Coral Reef. Guanaja has frequent sightings of Nurse and Reef Sharks, Green and Loggerhead Turtles, hundreds of fishes and small critters!
This trip takes you up the full length of Roatán, past a few small keys (islands) floating in the middle of our beautiful turquoise Caribbean Ocean. Once we arrive in Guanaja, you will see the bright and colorful reef and gear up for a day of diving.
What does it include?

UTILA
Time: 8am - 3pm (approximately)
Cost - $250

Dive in Utila and it will not disappoint! Utila is the smallest of all the Bay Islands of Honduras (only 6 miles long) - and is approximately 45 minutes from Roatán on our boat El Guapo.
Utila’s waters are host to more than 500 species of fish, 400 species of mollusks, and 65 species of stony coral. Utila's dive sites are more spread out than Roatan, so you will most likely get to see the island as we take a tour around to the second dive site. If coral is your thing - Utila is the special trip for you!

Cayos Cochinos
Time: 8am - 2pm (approximately)
Cost - $225

Cayos Cochinos is a small collection of 15 islands/keys widely known for their beauty above the water, with crystal clear blue waters, white sand and friendly people! They are also renowned for their incredible diving, bright healthy corals and abundance of ocean fishes and invertebrates.

The Seamounts
Time: 8am - 1.30pm (approximately)
Cost - $225

An incredible dive with a breathtaking amount of life! What could be better than drifting over an underwater mountain, surrounded by schools of Jacks, Blue Tang, Atlantic Spadefish, Tiger Grouper and much much more! Please note, this is an Advanced Dive Site.
